Minor victims of the criminal abuses perpetrated by leaders of these social clubs can be commonly affected by a variety of conditions, including: suicide, self-harming, the need for counseling, and other dangerous after-effects.

While there is the potential for child sexual abuse to occur almost everywhere, the most common source is in situations where adults have easy access to children.

Organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America®, the YMCA Boys & Girls Clubs®, the Police Athletic League®, and others pose the greatest risk of abuse.

The various types of abuse suffered by kids include:

  • Physical abuse;
  • Mental abuse;
  • Psychological abuse; and,
  • Sexual abuse

In November of 2021, one Boys & Girls Club® settled a sexual abuse lawsuit, and the offending pastor is now serving 150 years for crimes against young boys.

Also, in September of 2020, a nationwide Boys & Girls Club® investigation found 351 victims in 35 states.

And, finally, in March of 2019, many incidents of abuse were reported at Boys & Girls Clubs® across the country -- with litigation for abuses pending in national courts of law. (Source: AP)

The group leaders responsible for these abuses included:

  • Counselors;
  • Camp employees;
  • Organization directors; and,
  • Older campers who had unsupervised access to children.

We believe that victims of Boys & Girls Clubs® and their families should be able to address the sources of mental, physical, and emotional abuse and get compensation and justice.

Our network of attorneys have a track record of success.
